For the first time this year I went to Kearsney and, true to form, as soon as I arrived ....... it rained.
Not a lot was happening, but it was nice to see a pair of swans showing off their chicks. It seems the resident birdife have formed an action committee because a load of yob gulls had turned up (as so often they do when the weather on the seafront isn't good) and were intent on annoying everyone else.
Whilst the adult swans protected the cygnets at close quarters, it was the mallards that kept the gulls at bay - quite aggressively too.
