I love seeing them but unfortunately when they appear it usually means winter is coming.

We have a green woodpecker who lives nearby, not timid but not so far inclined to pose for photos. Sounds similar to, but more melodious than, a magpie. A dab hand (?) at telegraph poles and our lawn.

It's clearly a guillemot, quite common to Dover coast.
(Though I wouldn't be surprised to find there are people in Dover who never look out to sea, or take any notice of what's out there.)

Ilive in a good place to see wild life of all kinds they all come in my garden cost is alot feeding them, and cats come in and only drink rain water and that goes for my own cat He is not well at this time ,so I got rain water from out side but he would not drink it ,so put the water back out side in the old bucket and yes he went for it.
