Just seen this on the Unilad page ........... "A comedian with an impressive knack for lyricism has lifted spirits – and no doubt voices – after rewriting Bohemian Rhapsody with a timely twist." ......It is by Dana Jay Bein, from Cambridge, Massachusetts,

Don’t touch your eyes
Just hand sanitize quicklyyyyy
I’m just a poor boy, no job security
Because of easy spread, even though
washed your hands, laying low
I look out the window, the curve doesn’t look flatter to me, to me
mama, just killed a man
I didn’t stay inside in bed
I walked by him, now he’s dead
mama, life was so much fun
but now I’ve caught this unforgiving plague
mama, oooooh
didn’t mean to make them die
if I’m not back to work this time tomorrow
carry on, carry on as if people didn’t matter.
too late, my time has come
sends shivers down my spine
body’s aching all the time
goodbye everybody, I’ve got the flu
gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
mama, oooooh
I don’t wanna die
I sometimes wish I never went out at all
I see a little silhouette of a man
what a douche, what a douche
did he even wash his hands though
security is tightening
very very frightening me
Gotta lay low (gotta lay low)
Gotta lay low (gotta lay low)
Gotta lay low masturbate

With schools out and all those adolescent males left with nothing to do all day NOW you know why there's been a rush on toilet paper?

At last, a little bit of calm, clear-headedness from the BBC:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51979654
(Though given that an earlier version was entitled 'Coronavirus: Have UK experts over-egged deaths?' the author or a sub-editor may have suffered a wrist-slap.)
If only there were the same clarity and proportion from the chickens in charge.

Quite right, B. That's why my first words were 'At last'.
For me the BBC is like a once-reliable torch that now gives just enough flickering light to see under the floorboards once in a while. I've got other torches, but I can't junk this one just yet.

Interesting stats, comparing UK with Italy 14 days earlier (I assume they're accurate):

The US is also rocketing up the tables - and you know it's bad as the worse it gets, the more racist Trump becomes.

This morning, SUNDAY 22nd March @ around 11am, on my way home from delivering food to an elderly couple, I observed the following. By the taxi rank near to BOOTS I saw a group of taxi drivers talking and laughing up real close. I thought how utterly selfish. Some poor unsuspecting person could climb into one of their taxis and possibly pick up this nasty virus if one of those drivers was affected. Because of their attitude it is unlikely that they would have been keeping their taxis as free as possible from any contact from passengers. You know, seat belts etc etc. As I approached this shocking scene, keeping a very safe distance, two POLICE officers walked from the other side of the road towards this group. I thought hey, great, they are going to advise them so break it up. Did they? NO THEY DID NOT. They joined in!! It is possible they were two PCSO's. Walking past, and no I did not intervene, (would you have done?) I looked back at this now enlarged group. The twe officers were walking away leaving the group to continue.

She is absolutely right, it shouldnt feel normal and social distancing, self isolation, hand washing etc are a set of rules

My old Dovorian friend now resident in Brussels was telling me how the Belgian army were now employed in 'monitor and disperse' action throughout the capital. He thought other major cities were under similar constraints. Johnson and co have got this horribly wrong. If the article in today's Sunday Times is even half true then we need to be very worried indeed. A certain foul-mouthed, swivel-eyed loon would appear to be exerting an even more toxic influence on our national well being.
