They will not get in power but will do better then the blues, in the local elections it will be the liberals that will do the best but I will not be helping them

Once a Tory always a Tory
So no surprize on last post
But it would be more healthy to have an alternative to the govt .

My ideal Government would take the best brains, intellect and honourable intentions from any party, sadly I also know that will never happen. Our current crop of politicians seem to be drawn from the dregs of society and have little interest in serving the electorate.
There are a few honourable members left but they have little influence on their party direction and policies.

Local elections Thursday , Tories likely to lose many seats, but I'm wondering if maybe the smaller parties may gain quite a few .
Greens, lib Dems etc?

Reassuring to see that this isn't cutting through at all. Given the Daily Mail's lurch from "don't they know there's a war on" to complete outrage - my assumption is that this is a preemptive attempt to bore everyone silly of lockdown stuff ahead of the Sue Gray report.

The Londoners seem to like them going by this morning's results.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

So, Starmer is being investigated. Tories should be a little bit careful with what they wish for and calling for him to quit, just in case he does just that.

I do agree Neil .
But if your neutral it really looks like double standards of the lab party over the party gate .
I think lab has shot itself on the foot , saying firstly Angela Rayner was not there , then later after investigation , quickly changing to , she was there .
But even with all of that labour still struggling in its heartlands ,. Hartlepool , hull to name a few .
Amusingly labours only Kent MP on canters wasn't over enthusiastic about her leaders skills ,
But certainly continued to move away from lab tradition , and more towards desperation to get into number 10 at any cost .
Moving out of London areas lab not so good .
It's looking like the Labour party I knew and grew up with the working class party has long gone .

When you take off your rose tinted glasses Brian
I'm the first to agree they did as expected in London ,and the three councils
But look at Hull labour heartland and you will see labour is just not cutting it.
Again in Hartlepool locals still not coming back .
And the as I stated on a post on other page now the leader investigated over beer gate where he could be forced into a corner over his outspoken views on partygate and could force him out .
On another subject , is it correct the Labour MP for Canterbury is living in Wales ?
