No real surprizes, so much when he posted that he was non political
always knew it was all tosh.
No surprizes if ukip put him up as the general election candidate, but hes highly unlikely to get many votes by the way hes isolated himself on this forum

Good Evening, Mr. Sansum..Thank you for your wisdom..You really know all about tosh..You used to be a leading light in Dover Labour Party...They could not even stand and oppose the Tories at DDC over the housing budget, all they did was abstain on this important issue.Cowards!....

I'm determined to go to the ballot box come General Election, to cast a vote.
And it won't be a spoiled vote.
The candidate is already known.

#22,at least they have a fighting chance along with the torys.but both of those partys will be a long way behind labour.

Brian D.Who ever is the UKIP Candidate, they have a strong chance of doing well in Dover and Deal..Clair Hawkins is a weak and shallow candidate...Dover and Deal Labour Party are split into 2 factions. The infighting is ongoing at Town and District/KCC level now..The Tories locally have lost a lot of foot soldiers, the people who normally do leafleting etc..In fact,Charlie Elphickes' recent survey on Deal Hospital, the survey forms were delivered by only one person..That person was the Chairman of Deal and Walmer Conservatives...Charlie is at the moment , doing a lot of Flip Flopping...For instance,he supports Fracking one week and then the next week he is opposed to it..He has clearly got issues with Tory District Councillors.,i.e. DDC Housing budget etc....Dover and Deal Hospitals, new Dover Hospital will be lacking in beds and Deal Hospital some services may be cut and you add to the mix, the very possible increase of new migrants and increase in Energy Billls next year....Charlie and Clair are being led by Events not the other way round..Charlie and Clair are bumping into each other,by jumping onto the same band wagons....................Vote UKIP, GET UKIP.

that is correct about the blues having problems with many of their activists moving to ukip.
there is a lot of behind the scenes work done around election time by volunteers that can affect the result in a marginal constituency like ours.

...and when it is UKIP that is 'GOT', then what?
Will the trains run on time?
Will all the waste bins be purple?
Will the promise of an in/out EU referendum be cast in sterner stuff than Iron:Adamantinium? (Or that ever so valuable stuff from Avatar;Unobtainium?)
For Cyclops UKIP to succeed perhaps the Voting Pencil will be used to poke both eyes out of the Voter come Polling Day.

you seem to have a thing about ukip tom, seeming to despise them more than the others.
can't think why as they have never held the reins of power.

I've gone right off UKIP too, this Mr. Ripley seems to be very rude and quite unpleasant in several posts he has made on this forum, he is doing the reputation of UKIP in the Dover area no favours at all.

If indeed Howard I despised anything, and I very much doubt that I do, according UKIP such a privilege would overstate my view of their standing within the scheme of things.
I merely ask, again and again that, if victory - large or small, were theirs..what then?
Suffering, as I do, from questions as to my planetary whereabouts and/or origins, I feel that my comments are entirely restrained in nature.
To state things, flat. UKIP is but a label put upon a pre-existing right-wing sub-set of Conservatism.
On your second point, "they have never held the reins of power", this is undoubtedly true, as far as it goes. Yet, alas, the coach of Nationhood is drawn by many horses, and a knave or two astride any of them can do much to thwart progress and divert it from its course:even if such diversion is but in and out of the road-ruts the ride can be made less smooth.
