Negative media -> negative public -> negative policies -> negative media.
The self-defeating loop.

Hm. Well, if we're extending the thread title to include media, how about 'UK secures seabed land deal to boost windfarms' - which seems a bit of a dodgy headline on two counts?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crglp32zzw2o
Wouldn't it be fun if that involved the assembly areas of Eastern Docks berths 7 - 9, given that the CEC retained rights such as cabling and wildfowling (!) when they leased the seabed there to DHB!

It's a shame when the Mercury and Express moved out of the area .
Also local reporters were in the area
Now they rely on social media sites like this one to get a story .
Of course local papers are becoming a thing of the past

Indeed weird
We had a reporter for one of the papers live in the ward , most were aware and highlighting issues going on in ward.
He wasn't even aware the issues existed !

I wonder how many of those who did so much of that awful damage and looted even voted or know anything about the 'Far Right'.

Everyone to the right of the Trotskyist left is 'far right'.
The difference between now and, say, the 70s, is that whereas back then you had to pick up your Trotskyist propaganda tabloid on a demo or from that spotty long-hair at the stall outside the Town Council offices, now it's delivered to your door or available from all good newsagents everywhere and comes in a variety of mastheads.

The UK is now such a cringing embarrassment to the rest of the world that if it had any sense of shame it would pack a bag, pull on walking boots, hike into the mountains, and fall into a crevasse.
Its media would lead the way.
