Keith you keep missing the point .The Buses do not connect.

The 92A is timed 2 minutes ahead of the 15 Sue. So you would have to get the 15 running twenty minutes earlier as the 92A only runs every 2 hours. I’m assuming you are returning to leafy River after a visit to the Canterbury fleshpots?

Thank you Pablo for that information. You are correct if I had caught the previous bus from Canterbury ,however I would have had to wait nearly thirty minutes in Lydden.I suppose I could have popped into the Bell for a swift drink.Which ever way you look at it River has not been served well.I did venture into Dover yesterday first time in two weeks.I hate walking through Penceste and Biggin Street is not much better.I even ventured into MS .There are no seats in St James area unless you desire a cup of coffee.
Leafy River and a trip to local Co op .Is easier .At least we have several seats .Could be a former Councillor listened to Jo public .
I tried reading Stage Coaches Annual report.I see the local Commercial Manager has been out celebrating at various events to celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of Stagecoach taking over from East Kent. Now those were the days .

According to the timetable Sue the 15 runs every 20 minutes so your wait would be a little over a quarter of an hour. At other times you can get off the 15 at the Railway Bell and cross the road to pick up the 92 opposite which now comes down Whitfield Hill and turns right at the roundabout before turning left into Kearsney, then into Lower Road.

Pablo. Us oldies don’t like crossing that road .I did it with ease right up to my sixties and early seventies. Now eighty legs don’t always go quickly. That Road is so much more busy ,rat run from the a20.I used to catch the Canterbury bus there and walk home with all my goodies from Canterbury. There are 1,900 over 60 who reside in River.

Sue, did you ever try my suggestion in another thread of changing at Whitfield? (I don't know if the times are still the same). It may have already been mentioned but changing at Temple Ewell may also be possible - there seem to be several options.

i have done the Temple Ewell option once .The 92 a only goes every two hours from River.you have approx wait of ten minutes.I prefer that to travelling all round the houses then waiting in Pencester.
coming home you have to leave Canterbury catch the 15then the waiting time is longer.Whitfield no .They changed the times from Deal..I have asked for a direct bus to Canterbury via Whitfield Hill
Winter approaches and one does not want to hang around at bus stops .
Thanks Chris .

I’m sure Cllr Collor does not use buses..if so he would be fighting in our corner.

Fighting corners and collor don't go together
Unless it's to vote for an increase in his allowances

And as we know Gordon spearheaded the fight to save the 68 bus route, some councillors shrug their shoulders and do nothing whilst others put their thinking caps on and work for the benefit of the people they represent.

I wonder if all the complaints on here had been sent to Stagecoach things might be different, sadly I doubt it.

I and others have notified Stagecoach of incorrect timetables at stops on the Folkestone Road and three months later they have not been corrected. Apparently in other parts of town there is the same problem.

As iv said many times it comes down to an alternative company/business or cooperative or whatever.
without one of these Stagecoach can do whatever they like

At least there is a chance of competition, even if this is not used, unlike with the water companies where we have no choice they are a real private monopoly who seem to do and charge just what they like.
