At least businesses now have a choice on water and drainage. Will happen soon for residential customers too.

Depends on what you mean by 'water', but you may wish to Google or wiki 'Bio bus'... The capacity is measured not in seats but in, how shall I put this, thrones.

I find it difficult to believe that DDC are backing this.

I’m sadly disappointed with former colleagues for supporting this. They should be uniting behind all of us who keep finding the current services provided are not up to standard .Still KCC councillors have forgotten why they were elected.
This scheme looks great all brainwash as you can’t use your bus passes and mostly you have to book in advance .I do hope this service is not receiving a subsidy .

On the subject of buses, I wonder how many people wait here for a bus?
I suspect it's been there since the 86 stopped running many years ago! There's another one on the other side of the road.

I must have walked past that many times without noticing it but I remember there was a stop on the other side for the Tesco courtesy bus about 15 years ago.

Hopefully the number 10 folkestone to Ashford will change soon as promised
Funny how Chinese whispers circulate I overheard a chap telling some tourists on the bus changes that the manager introducing them has been Sacked along with many others

It is not a community bus Sue, they are just using the word in their business name and as I said in 552 they must be paying DDC for a licence to operate.

I’m not in favour of it all.KCC just brain washing us .Subsidies need to go to Stage Coach. If I need a taxi which is not very often its Star everytime. We need a bus service which is reliable.Good Managers and someone in Pencester who provides passengers with information. When buses run late it’s a tough call do you risk going into the office for an update.Gone arenthe days when a dedicated member of staff would be casting an eye on bus departures and arrivals .

The number of bus journeys in the UK is at a 12 year low, in that time fares have risen faster than inflation and many services cut out. I suppose that is inevitable when public services are run for the benefit of shareholders.

Ask Ann Gloag. Does anyone really think she cares?

A vicious circle, the poor services together with raised prices means people will not use a bus which is why the companies do the afore mentioned.

I think she cares very much about the shareholders, as well she should as a successful business woman, our county councillors on the other hand!
