Personally I love it.
As some wag posted no doubt the owners will cash in on the added value.
David Schrieber is also one of the new owners of Discovery Park Ltd.

I love it. It must be one of the biggest things he's ever painted.
Does anyone know/did anyone notice: Were the cracks in the plaster already conveniently there to begin with, or not?

All very odd.
The Banksy in Folkestone was painted on the wall of an amusement arcade whose tenant was Dreamland Leisure Ltd which went into voluntary liquidation 23/11/15 (director J M Godden), after a long court battle over 'ownership' of the work which they lost to The Creative Foundation (director Sir Roger DeHaan)
Dover's Banksy is also painted on the side of a (former) amusement arcade which whilst boarded up still proudly displays the logo of Castle Amusements Dover a trading name of Dreamland Leisure Ltd which takes us back to the Godden connection.
Why would Banksy enhance the value of this property in particular and is there a white knight with deep pockets to pay our learned friends to ensure the mural remains in Dover? Just wondering.
Let's hope it is not flammable!

Sometimes a blank canvas is - just a blank canvas. Good job he didn't use the side of Burlington House, otherwise we'd be scratching our heads and wondering what to do next.

Christine - that's New Bridge and if that's not Castle Amusements this side of it, then it's what was there before. Odd to think that the Dour flowed down Townwall Street, rather than across it. But hey, I guess that's how the Bronze Age boat ended nearby.

Thanks to Banksy, Dover has now made it into New York Times! Personally I think it's a fantastic piece of political art and should be protected by DDC as part of Dover's cultural heritage

It's actually a nice building, with a bit care it would look good. Dover has few old buildings left, it shouldn't knocked down.

This is the sort of building the LoveDover lot should be after but I suspect they will now be priced out of this one.

Too far out of town to be of interest to LoveDover.
