That Building is a cracker, it has the rounded Brick corners. Quite an art in brickwork.
Too many old buildings in Dover have been flattened, lets hope this one survives.
#20 by Howard McSweeney is interesting regarding the ownership of this building.
It might not be Godden after all.
Someone has graffitted - "Clash" on it. For some reason.
Their retired Drummer lives in River.

I would like to think that the mural could lead to a tidying up of the area.
Clear the weeds at the bottom of it for a start. Perhaps get the fence painted if nothing else.

Saw a French tv company filming it this evening, they was filming a rather glamorous presenter talking about it,looked like a news channel.

Are there any definite plans for that York Street/ Townwall Street corner?

Another Banksy/Godden production planned to perfection. I wonder how much of the share will go to charity

Misleading headline and article, this is the important part.
“We can confirm that we are exploring options for the retention, removal or sale of the piece, in conjunction with the Bankrobber Gallery in London.
"Furthermore we will look to benefit local charities with proceeds from any sale of the piece.”

Well picked up Howard.
Not quite what the KM headline said.

Curiouser and curiouser, just read elsewhere that Maudesley Ltd were dissolved in 2012, someone might want to tell the family.

This is becoming a little odd. The Land Registry record presumably predates the company's demise in 2012.

Whatever the company status the site is owned by Godden family with possible business friends.

I can't help but wonder if this was done by Banksy to compensate the Godden family and friends because they lost out on his Folkestone effort.
It must have cost a fair amount to paint with the cost of erecting the scaffolding and sheeting if nothing else.

Who would have given permission for this building to be demolished?
Thank you.

I see no reason to doubt that Banksy's virtue matches his industry. On the other hand, what can one expect from someone who doesn't use a real name?
