Maybe Roast dinners are a bit too up-market for their clientele? To be replaced with chicken nuggets and chips?!

They were never short of diners for their Sunday roasts, I think they were under priced when you consider the size of the portions and the free pint of beer. Sunday lunch time is one of the busiest sessions of the week so if tables were taken up by families spending an hour eating then letting it go down then there is no space for the heavier drinker that their pubs rely on.

Might because they had to employ a chef rather than a microwave operative like the rest of the week.
I had a roast their a couple of years ago and although a good deal and large portion it was quite frankly rank.

As you say the microwave rules in there and a boil in the bag system operates too. I am a fussy eater and didn't like the look of the roast dinners, breakfast is fairly ok. Once I ordered a lamb burger with fries and other bits and pieces. Took me 5 minutes to cut off a piece to eat and just left that and ate the other stuff. The waiter collecting the plate asked me if he could bring me a new burger, it was all I could do not to say "don't you dare".

The Railway Bell has been boarded up and the Dublin Man O' War is soon to go the same way (if not already)

Never heard a bad word said about the "Railway Bell"" and the car park always looked busy. With the second one I was told their was a dispute between the owners/brewers and the rent paid by the manager to live there, I have no confirmation of that.

Had meant to post about the Bell being boarded up, I was in there the middle of January and it was full of regulars, hope its just for a refurb.

Noticed a "For Sale" sign outside the Park Inn earlier from a company called Green Sands but can't find anything about them.

Out of my budget, but doesn't sound unreasonably priced conversion to flats would be my best guess.

It is a fair price for the premises freehold.
