Humbert if all you say is available through a Google search (i.e. in the public domain) why not just put us all out of our miseries and tell us what you have found.
You should also note CPG (COMMERCIAL GROUP PROPERTIES PLC) have never had anything to do with this they were CGI(China Gateways International Ltd) at the time of application.
Important I feel if insinuating wrong doing, to get one's facts right!

I guess when you've borrowed £45m based upon a flawed assumption of planning permission, then you ain't going to give up.

I appreciate that this is a minority interest topic but I now have a slightly better understanding of what appears to be on the table for anyone interested. Cards on the table first - yes, I am strongly opposed to this development on the grounds that it is an attempt to make money out of a needless exploitation of a beautiful part of our country side.
There are too many political aspects to reiterate here. Suffice it to say that this whole sorry saga represents a monstrous mismanagement within our local planning process.
CGI appear to have appointed the RPS Group to represent their interests in recouping the money they borrowed from the Israeli Discount Bank to fund the development of the Farthingloe valley site. RPS is an international organisation with a fine reputation in planning, development and environmental project management. They are serious players in this type of project amongst many others. I've no doubt that their services will not come cheaply. They have made an early start on their charm offensive but have told me that they do not expect their revised plans to be up for permission before the end of the year. Quite what they will have on show at next week's consultation remains therefore something of a mystery.
I've been unable to get to the bottom of other allegations on here about another individual with a financial interest in the project (see posts from Humbert earlier). Any further information would be appreciated. As far as I can ascertain the answer to the "cui bono" question is solely the corporate entity that is China Gateway International. There is a new face on the CGI board after the death of a previous main player. His place of residence is Cambodia.
If you have any interest in the local planning process, I would urge you to keep an eye on this one. I hate to be a bore but I do believe that this concerns all of us either directly or indirectly in so far as what is shows about planning legislation and the influence of local politics.

I am less than hopefull that the members of DDC's planning committee have taken to heart the observations of the judges who ruled on the case and remember that when you have a dog there is no need for you to bark (unless of course you are barking mad...)

Just read that Cllr Ann Napier has visited the consultation and discovered that any houses built would go for between £500, 000 and £600, 000. So much for Charlie wanting this development to help our young people get a starter home!!

I have known that for a long time having voted against it.I kept telling Charlie the proposed houses were not for first time buyers ;they are trying to attract commuters .That lovely Valley spoilt for ever,if housing allowed .The density was too high.

Do you think these people will shop in our town who buy such high priced houses VIc ? you think the rich will make this town a better place whilst driving the towns people and their children into the ground with nowhere to live because prices too high to buy a home.
We all don't live in council homes with low rent and high incomes or bought a council home for 7,000 rent it out for 750.00 month whilst living in spain on retirement. Building for the rich is a bloody rob from the poor and give to the rich game, its Dover land being used for it. As is other towns going through the same its a whole bloody mess and scandal thats what it is and now you got DDC buying pubs up whilst they lease out their land to Whitfield to the Kentucky takeaway and the rest. Where is this money coming from buying pubs DDC trying to own this town lock stock and barrel.
You be in your 20's Vic with your new wife/ girlfriend and baby and go buy a house or even rent you wander why there are food banks or people being driven for their home town.
If only everyone could be kind and honest what a better world we would be in.
