I heard that the "Funky Munky" people were involved. Makes sense if their place is supposed to be coming down.

we may have been a bit previous over this one, the shuttering suggested a long term closure.

Mr Ashman and Mr Darvell are working very hard, lets hope it works for them
Baguette Ella, Chaplins and Honeypot are all under new ownership. Exciting times for sure.

Surprised that Paul has sold Baguette Ella, I thought that was doing well; the previous owners of the Honeypot didn't last that long, hope it's because they have gone on to bigger and better things.
I wish all businesses well and although it is too late for me now, they all need a "body" to support them.

the owners of the "honeypot" had a farm so they closed the café in lambing season, maybe it all got too much?

Not a long term closure Howard according to the new owners. The shuttering is to keep any squatters out.

Heard today from an employee that it will be open very soon Howard and will be called "Duchess". Don't ask me why. The Funky Monkey will be closed during the day and only open in the evening.

Now painted and signwritten "Darvells", although I thought it said Darrells as I drove by. "Bookings being taken" painted in the windows.

Wonder if it is after the Duchess of Kent which used to be round the corner in the Market Square next door to the Walmer Castle. Both pubs later knocked together and renamed the Elephant and Hind after the emblems of their respective brewers, Whitbread and Fremlins.

When I went past the other day painter/decorator people were moving in stuff from next door. I assumed it was to clear a space for a refurb in Bagette Ella.
