The doom mongers who voted to "Remain" must be saddened that their predictions have not come true so far.

But we haven't left yet! So of course not much has happened but signs are not good, Pound is at low level, , firms reluctant to,invest, inflation set to be 3% while wages are stagnating etc. And that is before Article 50'is triggered

Nissen and Airbus are just three of the major companies that have announced inward investment, wages have been stagnating for over 10 years whilst the drop in the value of the pound helps our manufacturers to export therefore providing jobs.
Sadly the former people's party has been taken over by pseudo intellectuals that back big corporations to get cheap labour - a quick look at youth unemployment in the ill fated Eurozone says rather a lot.

Could you provide a link to the Airbus news please - must confess I missed it. Falling pound can be a mixed blessing though, e.g. if oil is priced in dollars.

Widespread panic on social media over the High Court decision that the Commons should vote on Brexit. i don't see much of a problem as most MP's wouldn't dare to go against the Referendum result. Should the Lords then try to stop it the Parliament act can overrule them.

It should never have gone to court in the first place, yet more tax payers money wasted.

The whole Brexit thing has been a shambles from start to finish. The vote was only called because the PM needed a quick fix to shut UKIP up and a few right wing loons on his own party. Of course, losing never crossed his mind.
The campaign was fought at best on dodgy facts, at worst with outright lies. People took sides as they perceived it to suit their political career, not on what they genuinely believed. For some, it worked, like May; for others it didn't, like Gove and Boris.
It is therefore fitting that at the bottom of all this nonsense, nobody actually knew what they were doing in terms of process either and it turns out that Parliament has the final say. The end result will be that we still leave the EU, but the Government will have to, rightly, work bloody hard on the detail not just wing it. That is good. The right wing press will obviously work themselves into a frenzy, but they have their own agenda of course.
The final irony in all of this of course is for all that Farage and co. banged on about Parliamentary sovereignty, that is exactly what they got.

The front pages of some of the newspapers today (The Mail in particular), are both astonishing and disturbing. The High Court simply ruled that the Royal Perogative does not give the government the authority to trigger Article 50. It is a simple matter of law. The reaction from some has been pretty revealing. The fanaticism surrounding Brexit is so strong that proper reasoning seems to no longer apply. To attack the judges is this case, as well as the complainants (who included at least one Brexiteer), is astonishingly ignorant. Even where Brexit is concerned, the Government must follow the law. You have to question the motives of anyone who thinks otherwise.

Quite so, SWWood. I find our press embarrassing at times, none more so than now. The way they also highlighted the "foreign born" claimant is just ridiculous. Outrageous that somebody other than the foreign born Rupert Murdoch and Paul Dacre dare have a say in how our country is run.
As you say, all they said was that if you want to leave the EU, you have to do it this way, not that way. Simple as that.

Its actually very straightforward, MPs invited us to decide if we wanted to remain members of the EU, a majority said NO. More than 4 months very little has happened, its no wonder trust in politicians is at an all time low.

That's correct, but yesterday's decision does nothing to undermine that fact. The judges are simply pointing out what needs to be done to make sure this process is carried out in accordance with the law. Who in their right minds would argue against that? And yet we see papers like the Mail misrepresenting the courts judgement in order to whip up more hysteria. It's very worrying.
Brexit will happen, nothing has changed in that respect, but if the proper legal processes are not followed things will get very messy. Nobody wants that.
