Looks like that shouty woman from Dover Question Time wants to stand against Charlie:-
Thinks. Is there any media savvy group 'within' the Labour party who are good at producing video stuff?
(Clue - begins with 'M'.)

That's the one who was staunch Tory until they cut her tax credits. Reminds me of Groucho Marx saying "those are my principles and if you don't like them I have another set that you might like".
The selection committee will see through her. Incidentally we were told over a month ago by our resident man of the cloth that an announcement of the chosen candidate was imminent.

Incorrect. Hence visits from as far afield as Whitstable! Claire H on the selection board. Stacey B still with her hat in ring.

I saw it too Brian she failed to get the nomination in Folkestone and Hythe last time out and is trying her hand here without any connection to the constituency.

D&D CLP are in the midst of selection currently. Some very good candidates in the mix from my standpoint.
I will be raising a glass, communion or not, to the chosen one and I'll be looking forward to the imminent GE campaign too.

I wondered if it was even filmed in Dover? From Rhomney Marsh as well. Does she even know the problems facing Dover?

Sounds like you have used your 6 memberships to the people's party to gate crash selection meetings Bob. Be careful who you vote for as the last time your selection resulted in your party losing a majority.

Excellent news (if true). No need for 'our' Charlie to campaign against either of these. Chance of either of them getting majority close to zero. Each totally useless in their own way.

Have to disagree Bob the local Labour party is being very clever if they choose Ms Dorrell. The last 3 elections have seen Charlie win fairly comfortably against a Labour candidate so fight fire with fire and put a Tory up against him.
