'The local party (IMHO) made a huge mistake by parachuting in Natalie when Charlie's fate became unavoidable'.
Yet chose a candidate who thrashed the opposition?
As we all know (?) Natilie was forced upon local party as they had no reserve candidate to cover all eventualities (Charlie being prosecuted).
The question for them is whether, having 'stood in', 'our' Natalie would be best candidate for next election.
It's all down to game playing and 'power'. Initially the local party has the power inasmuchas it it they who select the supplicants, once you have an elected MP it is he or she who has the 'power'.
From a Conservative point of view is 'our' Natalie the best person (and there's loads of potential applicants) to actually do stuff for Dover - especially considering she will be standing on her record over the past few years.

Top tip. Watch out for 'our' Charlotte.
Not Labour PPC (yet) but well ahead on social media.

I wasn't impressed with Charlotte and it appears she will again be the candidate .
But this thread is about Naterlie I think it's like I say she's here to stay as long as she wishes

Keith you asked if he would be able to own property, does he own property or does Natalie or is a property jointly owned?

The Times article clearly states that Carter Ruck worked for Elphicke on a conditional fee basis. We don't know the specifics (percentages, insurance etc.), but it means a claimant's fees are due only if a case is won, and are paid out of compensation. ('No win, no fee'.)
The arrangement allows ordinary folks to pursue an action, but people of considerable means exploit it for gagging purposes, and the lawyers have a financial incentive to carry on gagging.

Indeed. But love it or hate, social media will continue to haunt and, at times, reveal.

Thank you for posting that link- a great pity that it won’t get the views that it deserves. Dover deserves so much better than our current MP.

Well if our MP hasnt sorted out her financial affairs with her Charlie
Why would she want joint ownership with him
Or is there more to this story about getting back together ?
