As for 'Sid the Pillock' they say that accusations of malfeasance in a public office was the reason he was given an unwinnable seat to fight ((as well as being a Pillock! - obviously)

Lol they are all at it.
Not long after i joined was when they had the vote for the new MP candidate, which Charlotte won.
I went along, despite having a chest infection, to support Stacey. When I got there I found out I hadn't been a member long enough to vote, which is fine, except they tried to say I didn't have the right to stay as a silent observer...and it turns out that I could have.
The reason why I had no idea about not being qualified to vote was that Miriam hadn't been doing her job in emailing me. She insisted at the meeting that she had me on her list and it must be in my spam folder...which they were not.
Then afterwards says I wasn't on the list and that was because my dad and I have similar names and she had taken me off the list because of that. Without following up with either of us to check that was the case first and ensure someone could have been paying twice accidentally.
ME simply questioning her story in that regard was then deemed by her as me being aggressive and she tried to shut down the conversation that way. These are the type of underhanded tactics Woodsie will use.
The Labour party are meant to represent the ideas of justice, liberalism and tolerance...Woodsie and ilk represent none of these.

Still, never mind, so long as my bins get emptied next Friday...

Button, back then most of Parliament respected fellow members regardless of party loyalties, unlike today where there seems to be no or very little respect for anyone be they fellow MPs or the voting public.
It seems a can of worms has been opened, I await the next version of this Labour problems saga with interest.

Jan - it seems so. Personally I blame the Tories - there was less opportunity for this kind of behaviour when half of playtime was taken up with drinking milk. Nowadays, well... shades of Matthew 21:13.
Anyway, I'm decorating, so it's back to that drying paint that urgently needs my observation.

At the end of the day Town and Castle plus Maxton and Elms Vale are represented by party stooges who have no shown no real interest to date.

I think Ross labour should have won control of DDC the tories expected it
But Labour is only active at election time its not enough
But I have been telling them that for 2 years or more
Even offered to help the lab candidate and peon would have got her in but she declined going alone and of course lost
Still that's politics I suppose maybe in Dover it's a wzke up call
Let's hope they listen
Labour have been ‘active’ all year, canvassing and leafleting, I know because I’m one of the people who has given up evenings and weekends for months. If only people would get out on the street and help instead of whinging that they haven’t had a knock on the door...Worse for the Torys of course who don’t seem able to find anyone willing to knock on doors.

No, someone had to stand in that ward and Sid took one for the team, for personal reasons he didn’t stand in a more winnable ward.

Please explain to us why a political party ‘had’ to put up a candidate in an election in which a monkey with the other colour rosette would win. Seems to me that it’s a squandering of limited cash and human resources which would be better used in more marginal seats.
I’ll never understand the behaviour of people who run local political parties. I’ve seen more common sense in school playgrounds.

so the tories didn't knock doors and still beat you like a drum? You may have, at least in your own opinion, worked hard but obviously not smart enough. That you have to admit that canvassing doors and posting leaflets did nothing.
Are you trying to blame members who didn't canvass? Because I remember the organisation around it being very poor. Short notice and no real attempt to move people around.
I offered, as someone with many years of sales experience door-to-door to give workshops to canvassers. Never any follow up made by on that despite me trying several times to reach out. Again, either you guys didn't work hard enough or you were lacking in the ability to actually make what you did work.
The whole point, you seem to be missing, is being out there in more ways than just knocking doors and posting leaflets. The point is properly being a part of the community continually, not just occasionally for photo ops or in safe seats.
Your own party is lead by people who a destructive to your party. You either get rid of those people or you guys will keep making the same mistake. They never learn and all we see is blaming everyone else for their own incompetence and poor management of the local party.
They gatekept councillor nominations and then found themselves without enough councillors standing and begging people desperately. Most didn't want to because they are scared of the bullies and put off by the childish mind games.

Dolly that is all the truth...that is exactly what happened.
I even have screenshots of half of that conversation because it happened in the facebook group. I even tried several times to make an official complaint against several people but certain people get protected in the CLP and everyone knows it.
Ask Trish and Lee kettlewell and miriam, charlie z because they were all party to the conversation at the hall about how i wasn't getting emails. I still have copies of the emails between myself and trish about the issue of the emails.
I have copies of the emails putting in an official complaint to amy and simon about the fact that miriam kept changing her story about how i was on the list and then i wasn't.
So it is all facts that i can demonstrate, do not call me a liar when you clearly don't know what the bloody hell you are on about...especially when you are doing to defend someone who is a demonstrable liar.

Here is the proof she then suddenly knew the reason and yet didn't follow up with myself or my dad to ensure someone was not being double billed for their membership. When i put to her surely if someone might have two accounts then it would be possible they might be using them to vote twice which is serious or a vulnerable person who doesn't know they are paying twice..which too is serious.
