And we thought the Tories were unpopular, no wonder Neil has gone quiet it must be difficult to defend them.
Labour seem hell bent on hitting all of our pockets directly or indirectly, low income pensioners feel the cold, working farmers hit as well as business owners who inevitably pass their increases onto us the public.

When backbenchers and even front benches (see Gaza) are Struggling to support the party anyone else doing so can only be termed as 'useful idiots' upon whom Starmer is probably relying.

I’m sure Reginald wasn’t including any supporters of the party who post on the Dover forum in his remarks.

If they say 'thankfully the grown ups are back in charge' then it may just apply

"Regardless, Dover's Labour administration will get on with the change people voted for when they elected us."
I am still waiting to see any change for the better, so far for me all Labour's changes have hit my pocket.

Re Labour loose control at DDC now no over all control. This is not good for any council. It slows down the work everything will be in limbo. The councillor who changed his allegiance .That is not an honourable thing to do.i had a year outn Of politics and went back working with another party .The honourable thing to do is go back to the electorate and seek re-election, Crossing the floor and not seeking a by-election is not honourable .

N.B. Belgium had no government for 652 days. This was the case from December 2018 to October 2020,
This means that there was no federal government for 652 days and this during a worldwide pandemic.
Most of the population did not care and did not notice. Their salaries were being paid, and the trains were running.
Perhaps with the lack of the usual idiots spaffing our money against a wall 'improving' Dover, Adam Smith's invisible hand will make it as sucessful as Deal?
Better than the usual soft bigotry of low expectations methinks ?

Not always a bad thing if it slows down the more unimportant or unnecessary grandiose plans when money is short.
