Thinking of the Hancock video I suspect that the issue of that video being made public is a worrying subject for those of any party who has been stupid when believing they were private. Big Brother is obviously watching and waiting to pounce when the moment is right.
I bet that Cummings must be clapping his spiteful little hands after his recent anti Hancock comments.

It's not conservatives Brian nor is it labour! It is politicians that are going down the same old path.

Some journalists aren't all that bright either, to judge from the article entitled "The public's faith in government could slip after Hancock" by Laura Kuenssberg on the BBC website.

I see that Labour is back; their candidate in the Batley and Spen by-election romped home, easily cutting their GE 3,525 majority to 323 in a "fantastic result" for the Official Opposition.
This compares with the Chesham and Amersham by-election, in which the Lib Dem candidate was lucky to overturn the Conserative GE majority of 16,223 and squeak in with a pedestrian 8,028 majority.

Brian you obviously don't read your own or Mr buttons posts .
Anyone recall the big fall out between
Mrs Brivio and Mrs Pearson ?
It all got very personal by Mrs Pearson who not only slagged off Mrs Brivio but also slagged off all her family and friends , all over .... A flag pole !
Now, whilst there was a debate to be had by reasonable people , some of the comments by Mrs Pearson included (when she got bitten by a dog) shame she didn't lose her finger!.
I don't usually support Mrs Brivio but I did publicly say at the time with the British Legion locally opposing the flag pole and Mrs Brivio giving reasons for it not to be put up , the personal attacks by Mrs Pearson should stop ...
We did then find the real reason for the attacks as Mrs Pearson announced she lived in the ward and had massive support and would oppose Mrs Brivio at the next election ..
This she did , Mrs Brivio won easily and for all the support Mrs Pearson thought she had she came last
100s of votes behind .
I only raise this because I noticed a flag has appeared
Close to the monument, I wonder then ,
Has Mrs Brivio had a change of heart ?
Has Mrs Brivio /Pearson made up ?
Has the DTC over ruled Mrs Brivio ?
With all the controversy at the time and a lot of bad blood I wonder what happened to rectify it all?

Why "oh dear"? Money in the bank and hopefully a chance to turn the place back into much needed housing.

I recall them having a property on the Folkestone road but then decided to move .
They looked at two properties one in tower Hamlets and one in coombe valley .
But being in opposition for some years now , and without a labour MP it be difficult to finance such a big building , and with no paid officers the upkeep would be high .
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see them in a building again .
You get that locally and certainly the councillors you have to chase to get them involved, there never looking likely to be anything more than a tired opposition party .
On the national scene they are still trying to identify themselves with corbynites trying to hang on in the party and Starmer trying to expell them.
Parachuting in candidates in places where the people elect local geezers .
Look at the Liverpool fiasco in parachuting in the candidate for MP.
To get elected Starmer is attempting to carry on Blair's moves to lose the labour identity .
Whilst this may go towards getting into number 10 in 20 years or so, it won't be the traditional labour party , it will be a second rate Tory type party .
Willing to make big cuts
Willing to continue to sell off parts of the NHS
Unwilling to help the working man/woman
Break away from unions
Have no say in local communities
Have no vision for working class people
All of this leaves large numbers not having a party to support and then they either don't vote (like they are doing in large numbers ) or protest voting .
Of course those working class days and the safe seats have long gone ,and labour had sat back and in a lit of areas usually known to be safe labour have lost the traditional support .
Who would ever of thought labour would lose mill hill
Now we are seeing in St rads they keep losing the seat
Both traditional labour areas .
This is the sign of the times where I believe labour must re-engage with its communities
We are still waiting on the area I live and I'm sure looking at results for MP or councils it's not changing by default the govt party is holding seats and even gaining from labour .
Very ineffective in opposition So nationally and locally things will only get worse I just can't see the tide turning or signs of recovery .
Things don't bode well for them
Or us really as with no opposition the govt wins seats they shouldn't , and get bigger majorities and then look what happens .
With this people don't have any time for politics or politicians which is sad as it affects our every day lives.

People are not interested in politics unless something effects them personally.I still spend a lot of time following meetings reading reports etc .Its no good moaning on face book etc.I tell my friends what projects are in the pipeline and they just turn a deaf ear then moan when something changes which effects them .The biggest thing locally the refuse service ?

Biggest thing locally
There are many
Poor refuge collections
Poor grass cutting contract
Overpaid staff at higher levels for service provided
Lack of vision by councils and agencies
Pier fiasco
Town centre vision lack of
Lack of pushing tourism to get people to stay in Dover
Missing councillors not in communities
Not working with communities
Putting on projects with little or no consultation
There's just a small list off the top of my head
I'm sure it can be added to
I'm not a keyboard warrior iv been complaining and encouraging councils and agencies but at times it's like beating your head against the wall .

You can add the A20/Aycliffe issue to that list, Keith.
