We should be honest and admit that the majority of trans people are different simply because they have chosen which sex they think they should be rather than how they were born. Medical science has worked wonders with how these trans can look and feel mentally which is a good thing but surely their genes will always be the same.
I am not talking about the small minority that were given the wrong sex identification at birth or where nature has given them parts of both sexes.
Meanwhile Starmer comes across as ineffectual, he has no real fresh thoughts or plans. when interviewed he simply says the Tories are wrong whatever the subject.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Sadly jan it's even worse than that with Starmer .
He's so ineffective rather than coming forward with fresh ideas that have the support of the electorate , like you say he hides behind just attacking the govt with no alternatives ...
And this usual , we are not putting our policies out yet!
We do need an opposition party that is effective otherwise we are going to end up with the same old .

Yeah right. And some people think they are Napoleon or Jesus Christ.
Total mental health issue. And I'm NOT transphobic because I don't care if the above pretend they are either of the above.

Time was when Labour had a policy to eliminate mixed-sex hospital wards:
https://edm.parliament.uk/early-day-motion/34971/mixed-sex-hospital-wards.
And the Conservatives too:
https://labour.org.uk/press/tory-manifesto-commitment-on-mixed-sex-wards-in/.
In hindsight, said wards were perhaps ahead of their time, being inclusive and avoiding any queues whilst ovines were separated from caprines.
I'm beginning to think that Gladys Knight had a point.

Now Starmer's kicked out the student radicals, it's time to win back the Red Wall:

I’m not a member of any political party. When I think something is good I will say so.Personally the whole of the last eighteen months we should have had a coalition government. From COVID,NHS ,immigrants and now the fuel crisis .The rules keep changing all the time .A generation of children in school out of school .People In work out of work .Working from home the list goes on .

A coalition government drawn from a parliament of fools will simply be a government of fools.
And we already have one of those.

Indeed Sue
Like you it's easy for you to shout from sidelines lol
It has always been the case agreeing ideas on a number of issues is the sensible way , but obviously the two main parties (only ones likely to form a govt )
Are coming closer together on many issues , but it's whether or not this is supported by the widely public , I suspect there's enough out there to influence we remain with much the same old .

I don't know why Starmer et al bothered last week. It looks like the opposition has turned up at the Conservative Party conference.

With a PM as unpopular and now
And a very poor opposition
It's not looking good for the future
If Neil was inspired by lab leader speech like most lab gezzers were then it's years and years of opposition
