Just a poll of a few people Brian.
We all thought Charlotte was going to run her close, in fact the MP doubled her majority.
If Tapp spoke other than when he was in forces and and anti Tory people may start to listen.

I'm surprised he's not beating a path to your door for advice!

Last time I saw Tapp on TV I thought he talked a lot of common sense, he might even get my vote if he is standing against our present waste of space.

At least Starmer can not be called ageist
.
I would be willing to bet every party have to expel members for all sorts of reasons, some we would think of as justified others as a little dubious.

Jan
Starmer isn't expelling just a few here and there .
Across the country he's expelling members to attempt to conform with a Tory agenda
His objection to disputes and not wishing to do anything should be get into number 10 has upset the trade union movement which isn't small.

I thought he was trying to install an agenda he was chosen for by the majority of the Labour Party Members who would prefer to see Labour in power rather than the Tories. Maybe not far left enough for some but I think we all know how successful the party was during Corbyn's reign of power.
As we are not yet due a General Election who he upsets at the moment is fairly irrelevant especially if certain trade unions are simply playing the anti government political game rather than using some common sense with their list of demands, some of which might be completely justified.

I understand your beliefs through your postings Jan .
The bigger picture , making yourself electable , and throwing away all your were formed on, is in itself questionable.

I thought all serious politicians wanted to get elected otherwise they would be just like the rest of us on here full of pointless hot air.

I'm sure they do Jan,
So do they forget all the past, and elect themselves going against all this , and making comments against nurses like Wes Streeting?

Getting back on track.
It's fully understood Labour is looking to get into number 10 no matter what.
I'm not sure selling all your principles to be the right way.
One of the many problems Labour has ,is it's present leader wishing to expell anyone that doesn't share views.
Often this is those even slightly to the left.
The danger here is, many of its trade unionists whom stood by labour, being expelled are usually the ones who go canvassing, or leafleting, the middle England types don't come out to do this.
Labour can leave this to chance as it always does, In a belief that opinion polls are right, and that people will just stop voting Tory and all vote labour.
Some will, But maybe in those marginals they wont, thus Tories hang on.
Conservatives tend to vote no matter what , Labour voters dont.

What is the sensible thing to do if you want to be in power?
Forgo some possibly outdated principles to regain power and hopefully improve things for your remaining supporters, or follow Keith's strategy and maybe never get elected.

Wow, I have a strategy now lol.
of course Starmer is pushing his agenda agreed by his present membership, h e s expelled those that may have disagreed!
It's no surprise he's taking along the likes of Jan and others with a Tory light agenda .

Yes Keith, your strategy seems to be run down the present Labour Party in every post to this group.
Starmer is not taking me along and I certainly have no agenda. I think the majority of politicians past and present are a useless bunch who just love the sound of their own voices and spout whatever their staunch dimwit followers want to hear.

Rachel Reeves
@RachelReevesMP
NEW: GDP data has been revised down, leaving the UK with the worst growth in the G7 in the last quarter.
The Tories have lost control of the economy and are leaving millions of working people paying the price.
Only Labour has a proper plan to get our economy growing.
If only she would show us this plan. Does it exist? Is it the back of an envelope covered in red wine stains and some sums scrawled in green ink? How many time can you spend a windfall tax?
Not holding my breath on this one.
