Neil Moors wrote:This is all about the Tories pressing self destruct. Astonishing how they've gone from an 80 seat majority to this!
In reply to Neil's comment I will play Devil's Advocate with the following as I am a little bored.
When in power all parties popularity tends to drop if the population believe all the doom and gloom being spouted by the media, if the problem sorts itself out before the next election all is forgiven. In this case the Conservatives have had Covid and power problems to deal with both of which were unpredictable but have had a huge impact on our lives and finances. All we can do now is wait to see how this new finance strategy works out, only time will tell if it is right or wrong.

Neil
I really do think you need to come out if your labour bubble .
I'm interested to know if people you speak to say they are going to vote labour, not just labour supporters .
Unless where I live is unique (which I'm sure isn't the case ) then people are not voting which is likely to keep labour out

FWIW people I speak to don't talk about party politics (or women for that matter) and I haven't heard anyone in the real world mention the next General Election.

We in our community look out for help from agencies and our elected officials , and often they are missing
So whilst we don't want to speak about politics as a subject we want people representing us to people that will ay least attempt to make a difference, be seen .
So electing people is important as they are one body of many that you can make accountable each four years .
Interestingly yesterday there was a packed hall yesterday in Canterbury on the enough is enough campaign that' has 700,000 followers
And campaigns across the country .
Most were staying how poor Starmer and his lot are
Of course if this group gets off the ground I could affect who gets into number ten in a few years

No idea what your comment means Brian ,
The people attending came from many backgrounds
Including those in present disputes , but also nurses, and many walks of life with a me a membership of 700,000 a lot more than Labour , that should really concern Starmer .
But I suspect he will just go on expelling his own members, moving towards the national press
And making sure he's on the side of big business rather than the workers .
The local MP was said to be in Wrexham !
That could see her Lose her seat .

Nice chaps, the EIE Canterbury cohort; think I saw most of them singing and waving the flag on the barricade at the Marlowe afterwards.
As for Rosie, I think she shares Mr Sansum's (Labour needs to listen to Kent) sentiments:

What your missing Brian is that they are gaining momentum 700,000 which will affect a ineffective Labour party
Button I'm sure the packed Canterbury meeting would have preferred to see her at the meeting and listen to the youth who don't support her
