It was the least I could do.
After all it was my £3(s) that helped get him the leadership.

And I thought it looked like the scrapings of a number of barrels!
Quite a few to vote for for the lol including
PHILP Brian John - Dover`s Independent Leading Heritage Champion MBE
WOOD Miriam - Independent (Socialist)
plus a whole load of 'Independent Endorsed By Sandwich Matters' candidates who will cause even more chaos in poor old Sandwich as each pulls in their own independent direction.
In my own case I was particularly amused to find that after it was mentioned at a local Conservative Party meeting some while ago that I 'might be thinking about standing' (no more and no less) it would appear that someone got on the phone straight away to Matthew Parker Street resulting in an email from CCHQ advising the Chairman that it was 'best to stay clear' of me due to 'inappropriate comments on-line' and that they would be 'advised not to select' which amused me greatly.
As it happens the plan, once the doctor allows, is to head off on my narrowboat again to try to finish off filling in my map of the canals of the UK.
Be warned. 2027 is a different matter. Unless I am dead of course!

'Inappropriate comments'? Yes please, given the standard of appropriate comments one sees...

Here at Elms Vale and Maxton we appear to have been gifted a wet-behind-the-ears, newly joined freemason for the Tories. He was so happy, he decided to post his masonic arrival on social media. I'm not sure it's going to cut an awful lot of ice round here.

A few surorizes in there
Derek gartity ex labour cllr standing against labour as an indy and coujd split vote enough to let Tory in
In Town council
M woods ex lab that no one wanted at last election
Is said to have been expelled ?
Is standing against labour !
Going to be sone strange voting I think
One undemocratic candidate
Rejected by the electorate at last election and supporting Elphicke R Jeacock
Big campaign going on around the area to stop him being elected .
Some of the Deal seats appear unpredictable as to winners .
Parties appear to be struggling to find peopje to stand even in seats they should win.
Interesting to see also if any of the Indies who say they are the voice of the locals, if they is the case .
Beccy Sawbridge a community activist all the year round piling up support hope she gets in
Not long now till we know

Why is it with the results of local elections that we have the phrase 'no overall control', whereas with general elections it's called a 'hung parliament'? Is it some kind of wistful thinking perhaps?
