All candidates in this election are sincere in their stated aims, especially Natalie, Charlotte, Nathan and Becky. The other two are parachutists who have chosen to stand in Dover as paper candidates or as a publicity stunt.
So it’s between Natalie and Charlotte. Nathan and Becky are well-meaning distractions who will probably balance each other out in diluting the right and left vote respectively.
Natalie will win the seat with a majority of 5000, give or take 10%, unless Boris makes a major boner on the eve of the election, in which case it will be closer. Charlotte has a 100-1 chance. The other candidates have none whatsoever.

Anyone heard of any local hustings coming up?

I daresay you're right. Although stranger things have happened...

Lesson? Never let parsimony outrun perspicacity.

It frustrates me (a lot) the way he talks as if they haven't been in power for 9 years! Parliament is becoming the new EU; always somebody else's fault.

Thank goodness (well in theory) the vitriol should end after tomorrow but I doubt it especially if the Tories get that overall majority, which is now seems to be in doubt.

The Tories have been weak on the ground, either because they've put everything on their showman and ramming the tiresome triple-word banality down our throats, or because of their usual sense of entitlement. (Anecdotal I know, but houses up my way are yet to receive any communication whatsoever from Elphicke: no leaflet, phone call or knock on the door. Unlike all others, excepting WEP - but then we are a long way from Twickenham.) Yougov's final figures show the lead narrowing (with many constituencies too close to call) and are projecting a majority of 28. Or a hung parliament. Or a huge majority. The Tories' star performer is also their greatest liability. Result depends on how many floaters finally see the gorilla in the suit before marking their 'X'.

Odd/interesting how it varies. Here in CT16 we've had one leaflet from Labour, the LDs and the independent, and 3 leaflets and one knock from the Conservatives. Nothing from the Greens or Monstrous Regiment of Women.

It is indeed odd, a house I'm renovating on odo rd has had 6 leaflets from Labour and 1 from cons, and off coombe valley rd, we've had three from each plus 1 from the indie.
One would think it was a council election.

Here Tower Hamlets, but opposite side to Odo, the Priory side. Too posh? Considered in the bag? Too far up a hill?

The addressing varies too. Can't remember that used on the LD and indie literature, but Conservatives' was addressed to me and Labour's to t'other half.
No e-communiques/adverts that people get so excited about; none whatsoever.

Obviously labour saying tory candidate came across badly??
But if Weird is correct tories may feel they have it in the bag.
That could be an error of judgement.
Wonder how tory was viewed in Deal and Dover
Labour will obviously have a biased view

I might be entirely wrong but I got the impression that the Tories have not really bothered with Dover so probably concentrated their efforts on the Deal/Walmer area.
Labour had quite a few posters up near me before the strong winds hit.
