Oblivious toothy duncing for her to line up before G. F. Watts'
Alfred Inciting the Saxons to Prevent the Landing of the Danes...
Something more appropriate, with no hint of dingy...

Odd-looking Ragdoll? "Not every cat is a roaming cat. There are some very beautiful breeds—I might say the most special breeds—such as the Ragdoll that blesses my household, that do not roam."

I suppose we're going to have to get used to calling her Pauline.

She has proved she will do anything for the chance of a photo shoot.
From insignificant far right Tory to Labour, I doubt many will loose any sleep over her defection.

I think mAny in Labour want to see consistency
Dianne Abbott like her or not had been suspended for over a year
Still no sign of her being able to return
Yet Labour lets in a right wing rabid tory
Neil
Something's not adding up here

Jan
It's about consistently
If starmer is letting in right wing rabid Tories
Then Abbott suspended for over a year with not looking like she will be allowed back lacks credibility
It was quite amusing if you didn't cry at a meeting I attended yesterday that M Tapp attended.
The local Labour party now has a room in the RMT offices in Snargate st.
Some one asked Tapp, as she (elphicke) is at present the Labour MP for Dover will she be considering having surgeries in this office .
The question was asked in relation to her dislike of unions, support of fire and rehire etc if she did you could see a picket line outside a Labour MPs office!!
Mr Tapp didn't know the answer!
Mr Tapp felt across the country it's ok to speak out on any subject, yet across the country has seen members expelled for holding views of speaking out on such subjects as immigration , Israel etc.
Mr Tapp is a fan of Starmer that shows what we are to get should be be elected .
It was interesting he didn't feel the national press was biased in any way !

I'm still trying to understand any benefits for Labour on the membership of Elphicke

As an ex politician I thought Keith would understand more than most of us.
The answer is free publicity from the media alongside embarrassment for Tories. Tory benefit is they are finally shot of her.

Elphicke's was for sure a no-negative-consequences career-motivated move.
In a healthy society, someone who betrayed thousands of those who elevated him would be subject at least to social punishment. In our perverse politics, however, a willingness to shamelessly hawk your political affiliation to the highest bidder is an endorsement.
Haughty lecturing aside, though, it's hilarious that most people (including her) think she's joined a party that's different to the one she left. The reason a politician can so easily 'cross the floor' is because the parties are so obviously similar, mere cornflake brands bidding for a higher market share for their equally tasteless product.

Think the last post here answers your reply Jan.
I can only see lost votes for Labour in this crazy move .
But like I have been saying , and others also now saying, it's easy for a right wing rabid tory to join because Labour has ditched most of what it stood for.

KS, I must say, of all the people who claim to be long-term politics-watchers yet understand little of it, you understand least.

Crikey, if those clear plastic boxes are her idea of much needed housing, I'd prefer to kip in a sleeping bag in the greenery. Someone please tell me she's no longer involved in construction in the District.

Gone but not forgotten: "I pay tribute to my predecessor, who was and still is an ardent champion on housing issues. Before the general election, she sent a clear message to the country when she crossed the Floor of the House to join the Labour party" (said Mike Tapp in his maiden speech).
