Interesting developments, the Mail seems terrified of Morduant and determined to get behind Truss. I'm not entirely sure why.

It's a very divided party , not sure the winner will unite the party .
TV is showing signs of fall outs already .

Of course it's about Brexit. The never ending obsession with Brexit. She's not Brexity enough, if seems. I'm old enough to remember when Brexit was "done".

I’m still waiting for someone to explain how exactly we’ve benefited from Brexit- or how we ever will.

It's astonishing - a cost of living crisis that is as real as it gets, and all they're interested in is the NI Protocol! Completely and utterly obsessed with Brexit. Mad.

Yet again Brexit is used in an attempt to deflect us away from other equally if not much more important issues like how we can afford all the recent cost of living increases.

There is a bigger picture out there as well with regard to the role of the National press , how people hang on the every word , many often believing it even without fact.
The press bands together to get people thinking in a particular way and greatly influenced people.
On top of this the right will want to get the person in that's going to protect there Dosh .
So there's a lot going on behind the scenes .

I agree Keith. My paper today just rubbish .I cannot vote for a new Leader so not much point in expressing an opinion. The press very biased. At the end of the day some very selfish people around who have never lived in the real world. My Concern Currently the proposed bus cuts.Fast Track for some meanwhile parts of Dover will be effected.

There are many issues of concern Sue, and none of the candidates look to change this.
So many food banks .
People poor unable to pay bills and it's to get worse .
Buses as you say .
But the list gets longer, but those with dosh continue to be OK and continue to big rises whilst telling workers can't afford a rise .
But the national press and those others with serious influence will Libby behind the scenes to make sure all this continues.
It's a very uneven society

'Very uneven society' got me pondering this photo.
You can call them equally incompetent (and certainly their last leadership contest ended in disaster) but I remember a time when it would've been unthinkable for the Conservatives or any political party to be choosing its next leader from one bloke and four women. We progress, I think.

" We progress, I think."
Even more progress one of them is black, the chance of an ethnic origin PM and some have the nerve to say the Tories are racist.

I thought at the last general election with the Elphickes in such a mess it would be close , but you could blame Corbyn but the Tories on Dover Doubled the majority .

to be brutally honest the 3 remaining options are all part of the same neo-liberal school of thought (for those who can be bothered look up Sankher Singham, ZEDEs, Dr Barbara Kolm etc) and there is therefore little to choose between them.
I am still trying to get my head round the slight of hand of a government tabling a VONC in itself; and their MPS voting against it even after they had pretty much forced out the incumbent PM.
As for the Dover & Deal Labour Party I thought that was pretty much their default position. I suspect it has got a little more heated now the Forde Report has at long last been published,

Well there we have it .The vote has been announced so we have now to see what the Tory members do.I liked Penny.I don’t think we will see much change in British politics for a long time .
