I suspect many are learning the error of their ways now. Had the party membership been a bit more perceptive we might have avoided the debacle of the last 3 years.

Boris possibly being the lesser of two evils, I wonder how many actually voted Tory rather than anti Corbyn/Labour or because they just wanted out of Europe.

I'd like to take a moment to address myself to the cabinet minister loyal to Johnson who told the FT that his allies would try to ensure Sunak did not win the Tory leadership contest. "Rishi will get everything he deserves for leading the charge in being down the prime minister" he reportedly said.
Hi there, UK voter here - not one of yours sadly as I haven't had a strong enough stomach for really quite some time. I guess I nevertheless help fund your salary, but them's the breaks. Anyway, since you don't seem to be considering what's in MY best interest, I thought I'd just flag-up that, were your party to elect a new leader who put Jacob Rees-Mogg somewhere where the sun don't shine (or, failing that, Rwanda), well then, maybe I could rummage around for a clothes peg at the next GE.
For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not a Red Wall constituent, so I don't have a problem with "regicidal MPs" (to quote the Mail) who brought down 'King Boris.

Disgusted that apart from the women and the ethnic minorities ALL the candidates are male and white.
Typical mysogonistic/racist Tories.

Interesting hint from Johnson at PMQs today that there may be a coronation for next leader. My understanding is that the 22 specifically ruled this out by ensuring that the final two go the distance for the sake of giving the membership a say.
Of course, it could be classic lack of attention to detail from Johnson and he's assumed that today was his last PMQs, when in fact, it may not be!

I always have thought that members should have the first say with MPs picking whoever is remaining, much fairer than voting for the two people who have the most MP buddies.

As a spectator sport, I'm quite enjoying this!
I see similarities between the Tories here, and Labour with Corbyn. The membership will rally around Mordaunt - in the same way that Labour members did Corbyn, but the public see things very differently.

I simply can not understand why any MP or Tory member with a conscience would support any of those front line Ministers that backed Boris through all his lies,
Boris should have been kicked out after Partygate. At the moment it looks like Sunak will win, someone who has absolutely no idea what it is like to live on even an average person's budget.

To be fair none of them will have experience in living off an average or low income. But I would rather put my faith in someone who at least has a lot of experience in economics than any of the others. It’s absolutely no good promising tax cuts that are unaffordable.
