It has millions of pounds to get this far,the bill still has to go to the house of Lords who will turn it down yet again and they are only talking about 200 in numbers, when there is over 20.000 to deal with.We have some 200 Island round the UK which would house them safely we give them the building material and then they can build their own communities and food and supplies till it is all up and running better then what they are trying to do now .

It's a sorry state of affairs that the Government genuinely believes that the biggest thing they need to do to win an election is to get a symbolic plane off the ground.

Well at least all these born-again chancers should feel at home in Rwanda!
Rwanda religion (Catholic (43.7%) · Protestant (37.7%) · Seventh-day Adventist (11.8%) · Other Christian (0.7%) · No Religion (2.5%) · Muslim (2.0%))
FWIW with all this mad talk of defenestrating Rishi, who I like - clever ( PPE Oxford, Fulbright Scholar for MBA Stanford), articulate and rich - what's not to like?- with my Cassandra-hat on I might say that I wrote to 'our' Natalie back in 2022 suggesting she backed Badenoch for leader.
One to watch when the Empire Strikes Back?

Still don't understand why Sunak made stopping the boats one of his five pledges, it was never achievable under these failed policies .

1p or 2p, stand back and watch as the tax cut that nobody is asking for sends the Tories into meltdown.

It's the latest distraction and as always, he highlights a problem (perceived or otherwise) and fails to offer a solution anyway!

My guess is that the public would rather see competent public services and a functioning NHS, rather than a 2p NI cut.

If we could go back to well run services I would rather see my tax go up by 2p, especially if they included prescriptions and dentistry for free or a lot cheaper

The Tories decided long ago that it would be good politics to fall out with everyone - train drivers, rail workers, doctors, nurses etc. It isn't. People want and value being able to go about their daily lives and access public services without hindrance.

You've changed your mind since November when you were critical of the failure to address the cost of living,. Now they are doing as you asked, its still not good enough?
Neil Moors wrote:The irony is that it is their obsession with culture wars that have seen their lead slip so dramatically. Rather than addressing the cost of living, they've spend much of the last year obsessing over nonsense that the public aren't interested in. Fallen into their own trap, if you will.
Do make your mind up!
