Listening to the conservative Newcastle MP last night (who would ever think Tories would be MP for these areas .
There still rallying around Boris .
Although he had been given promotion .
Next two elections next Thursday could be interesting

Worse case scenario - leaving Boris with a working majority of 'only'
SEVENTY ONE !

Having been born and raised in Tynemouth I remember how proud we were of our Conservative MP Dame Irene Ward who served the area for many many years. Turned Labour in 1997.
Visited again a few years ago for the first time in many years. A good example of an area that has been regenerated by careful management and sympathetic building. The quayside in North Shields is a thriving and vibrant area.
Dover could learn much.

Of course voting wise whatever the results of the two elections won't move Boris , he won't leave inless taken out kicking and screaming by the 1922 committee .
I would be really surprized if they lost the seat in Tiverton with over 20,000 majority .
But this drip drip that goes on with Boris , will effect our country

Unless there is a very radical change in direction, I think you may well be right, Brian. As Keith has said, let's see what this week's forthcoming by-elections show.

Sadly with Sir Keith at the helm all we will get is another establishment stooge fulfilling the needs of the 1% rather than the rest of us
I suspect we will see a high level of tactical voting in these 2 bye-elections and any others between now and the next general elections which will see a steady erosion of Johnson's majority

The Ukraine thing is getting silly now. It's done as a tactic. His constant running away from difficulty is an absolute gift for Labour.

I'm not really bothered either way and I agree with you in general but I thought his Christian name was Keir - after Keir Hardie. For a second I thought you were referring to Keith Sansum, or 'Keef' as people like to call him.
