Yes. It's been appalling of late. Stagecoach don't care though. Try ringing them - They'll tell you that the manager at Folkestone said that every bus left on time. Privatised - who cares?

We all know that in our major cities snarl ups happen and timetables go out of the window but the 102 between Dover and Greatstone rarely encounters heavy traffic and many times a bus has to stop for a minute or two to keep to the timetable. Until the recent changes problems were few and far between and the managers/route planners have a lot to answer for.

The situation with the 102 goes from bad to worse, twice in the last week I have turned up in time for a bus to Folkestone and each time it was cut out meaning the next one would be late because of all the extra passengers getting on and off. Not much during the holiday with all the out of control children making a lot of noise. I don't use the 61 Whitfield/Aycliffe myself but have noticed that route doesn't keep to its timetable like it used to.

Fair comment Brian but this morning there were two 61 buses not much more than five minutes apart arriving in Pencester Road when there is supposed to be a 20 minute gap.

Purely and simply a private business that has woven the words "community" and "association" into their title. Nice photo call though.

It will take more than a little community bus
but when did that Cllr last use public transport?

Not a little community bus Keith, they have a fleet of vehicles and hope to cash in here at the expense of Stagecoach and local taxi drivers.

Not good news for our taxi firms. The bus company should get a higher subsidy ,They only get a small amount from bus pass users.

Are you suggesting that this Thanet outfit should be in receipt of public money Sue?

No but when they visited River Parish Council they mentioned getting grants from a
Parish Councils.I told them I pay enough to KCC. .I believe KCC should pay more to Stage Coach .Locally a lot of people rely on them for jobs .This outfit From Thanet how many of our locals work for them.
