Let me break this to you Sue, you are not a councillor anymore so as a member of the public your concern should be about those getting a bum deal.

That is what I’m doing Howard I constantly keep Stage Coach informed and lobby River Parish Council and any Councillor who will listen. Some times I win and ImThink DDC and KCC are wrong and should be listening to those who actually travel on buses.

This discussion is getting petty and now seems to be focusing on my bus service is worse than yours.
Both sides should be grateful you have a bus to get you wherever you want even if it is not perfect, some areas have no bus at all or very few through the day.

I have observed this forum is getting petty and anyone who dares to raise an issue which they cannot understand is shot down .It used to be getting problems resolved .In the future shall not be writing on the forum until a good debate is stated and everyone is listened to .

This forum has always been petty at times when those who obviously dislike each other decide their opinion is the correct and only one that matters.
There are those who irritate me with their particular outlook on life which I do try to ignore but unfortunately for everyone else
not all the time. For this I apologise and put it down to old age when our views can get rather insular and biased, strangely enough the world does not revolve around us oldies.

Stagecoach still haven't replaced the incorrect timetables along the Folkestone Road despite umpteen reminders from the public.
PS
Your bus service is better than mine Sue.

Still makes me smile when I remember the post that Ms. Nicholas posted a long while back, something along the lines of, 'what do they expect to achieve, twittering on a forum'.

Not much point in writing/e mailing Stagecoach as many of us have as they simply don't reply. Maybe they are inundated with complaints and don't have enough time to deal with them?

No one blames the driver,
Its poor organisation by Stagecoach
The sad thing is that they know other companies are not falling themselves to rival Stagecoach
so they have a monopoly

Well done to Stagecoach for admitting they got some things wrong and are working to improve things.

The changes in Folkestone are just a bit of fine tuning, with some areas that gained a better service in June now being cut back because not enough people were using it. A couple of areas went up from 3 buses a day to an hourly service - they are now back where they were in terms of journeys, though with different links. Notably the tortuous 91 is not being changed. I can't see any serious changes to Dover services happening in the near future unless there is a sudden surge in passengers!

We used to use the 89 bus at least twice a week. Now that doesn’t exist any more we only use the 92 about once a month. I just feel sorry for the poor folk in Nonington who have gone from an hourly service to both Canterbury and Dover to one bus a day each way and none at all during school holidays.
