Aparently the Admiral Harvey is actually re-opening
pre-opening event on Friday, 20th December, before officially opening on Monday, 23rd December.

The Admiral Harvey last night. It only appears to open irregularly. Mind you the heavy door doesn't look inviting.

That door looks more like the entrance to a private house rather than an inviting business premises...........I wonder how long before an application to convert to housing is put before planning.
Happy New Year to you Terry and all other members.

I haven't been to the AH for years, but I remember that the entrance was at the corner of the building (not visible in the photo) and you entered, as it were, diagonally (or on all fours if you'd worked your way down from Tower Hamlets). The visible door may be to premises above.

A bit of serendipity and rare circumstance here.
1 - The pub was open.
2 - It wasn't raining.
3 - There wasn't a transit parked outside.
