The cameraman on the rear view got well and truly nailed..or woodened ! Never seen a vessel launched from the side like that before. They usual do it straight down the runway kind of thing dont they? But there we are, fascinating coverage. Pity the female with the bottle of champagne, she had to go forth and smash it against the hull herself. No fancy string release thingy in this case but they did give her some health n safety goggles though.
email: dover7@msn.com - 28 June 2013 20:25235431Some of you might have seen us driving around in a big costy black car over the last two weeks,and thinking Vic Matcham must have come into a few bob,but that is sady not the case we have been looking after the owners car and dog for the pass two weeks because they were cruseing around but it has all come to a end ,I hand it back to the owner in morning at the western part of the port on their return,but nice while it lasted.
Good thing was it saved me a few bob in fuel.

This ship which can look a tad dull in dull weather comes alive in the sunlight.

Yes its the Uk Border Agency. A familiar patrol vessel and we have featured her previously as aficionados will know. She was in the harbour all day before the mist enshrouded her. Captured here before the arrival of the deep and ghostly mist, which was eerie enough to shiver yer timbers.
Here is another shot of her but this one from a previous time. I think its The Vigilant but couldnt see for sure.

On Wednesday 3rd July, we have two cruise ships in, the Carnival Legend returns to CT2, T/R & the AIDAStella returns to CT1, PoC.
Two Saga's arrive the following day, Thursday 4th July, the Saga Ruby, CT2, T/R, & the Saga Sapphire, CT1, T/R.

( ED6 )...visibility is poor again..
the whole thing is now out in harbour but cant get a passable shot because of mist..
but here is one of the cranes in yesterday evenings sunlight across the rooftops as it were...
