This was discussed with the former Town Clerk years ago,and he knew the story and advised no action,when I say years ago I mean at least 6 years ago.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

All gone very quiet does anyone know if the Mayor is carrying out his duties or is the deputy Mayor filling in for him?

the mayor is doing his bit,he went to the silver screen cinema to watch somme 100,the deputy went next day

I have heard the Tory, ukip and Indy Cllrs are backing him,and the Cinque Ports Mayors.

Didn't think there were any UKIP Town councillors, I don't remember them putting up any candidates.

The current Mayor - Neil Rix - stood as a UKIP member.
There is a Georgina Rapley.
That is about it, but enough to rattle the system.
Post 92 is a bit of a surprise. As David Little stood as UKIP Member of Parliament.

There are no UKIP town councillors, John was probably thinking of Alan Shirley who is a local UKIP official but stood as an Independent as did Neil Rix.

independent but UKIP say no more,it the past it was Indies and holding offices in the Tory Party.

It should not matter which party our councillors support as the town is far more important and should come first and blow party politics.

Neil Rix is an independent, he stood for DDC as Ukip, as did Georgette. Ukip put no candidates forward for DTC, party politics should not come in to the running of a town council.
