Following on from Alec's post #737.
Sleepyhead Beds have just delivered and installed my new electric bed, I cannot praise them enough and would recommend them to anyone.

Looks like a very good long term investment to me, will need a lot of money spent initially to convert into flats above the ground floor but the location in the town centre close to the station and buses must command good rents.

The town has been very busy yesterday and today, traders must be relieved over the Christmas trade.
There was actually a queue to pay in Peacocks.

Almost £200k more than the guide price - be interesting to see who the new owner is and what they do with them.
The final sale price would clearly have been too rich for Love Dover's pockets which is a shame as they at least wanted to turn them into affordable retail units and decent affordable housing

Town centre shops? Here comes the future!

At least Sandra on the checkout will be able to concentrate full time on talking to her mate from the next till rather than serving me (when she's not 'signing on')

The Town Centre was busy when I went in today with people carrying bags of shopping, was in Folkestone and despite their excellent range of shops things were very quiet.

The town was buzzing earlier with shoppers I went into Superdrug looked at the number of people packed in there and decided to go back tomorrow. Dover Big Local have opened a shop nearly opposite St Mary's church.
