21:1433123so you would want us to belive barry, whats messing my head is people like you banging on how bad this treaty and the eu are.the teaty is only a few weeks old and you have allready got it dead and buried,so whats your beef and why wont you give it a chance to settle down and let it start to work properly.then lets say in 10 years time it fails then you may be right, but on the other hand if its working well and this country is stonger for it then the europhiles were right all along.

23:2033126Brian, I have never given murder or rape a go, but I know it is wrong, as this monstrous Treaty and the whole rotten EU edifice is wrong.

09:2033133You are making too many assumptions there keith. Glad to see though one asumption has a basis in truth, you are at last facing the likleyhood of a Cameron Government, from the wording of your answer.

"I don't think cameron will be making such a bold move as you want Barryw."

17:3033169BarryW, I am with you entirely. No good will come of our presence in the EU, only harm.

07:1333210meridian news reported last night that euro star done a survey of its passengers,i must say that the results where rather surpizing.90% said they like going to europe for cutrull reasons, theater, art gallerys etc, while 80% said that they wouldent mind working in europe if they could get a job there.so barry that blows your theroy out of the window, you could allways go to itvs i player or euro stars web site to if im speaking the truth, know theres a fact for you.

07:4533211Hardly scientific Brian - I myself would say the same but would be the first to want to end our membership of the EU. I enjoy visiting there a great deal, have a share in a place in France, I love the food and culture and would not have a problem working there either though not in my job.
Excellent contribution here in this video from Dan Hannen, well worth watching to anyone interested in the EU in/out debate.

09:1933221Lose out... why would be lose out?
The EU costs us a fortune and they need us more than we need them, based on trade alone.
Get out of the EU and we would not have any 'standing in the EU' and good riddance, we would be out of it. We could have the same relationship with the EU as Norway which is far healthier for both the UK and the EU.

we can visit wherever and whenever we like and enjoy what other countries have to offer without donating billions to the european parliament.
16 November 2009
11:5333246Right on, Howard - the culture etc was there before we joined and it will be there after we leave (I am an optimist...!) and we have enjoyed it and will continue to enjoy it without being beholden to our European cousins!
