Plenty trout on the Barton path section Sunday morning, and a Holly Blue too.

I had the great privilege to rescue this little beauty yesterday, dropped it of with a rescue centre in Grantham this afternoon.
Stunning Kestrel in the garden too weak to fly.

You took the bird to Grantham?
From the Dover area? Or are you up that way?

Hi Karlos, no I found it in my mothering laws garden in lincolnshire and was coming back to Dover yesterday.
The rescue centre would have come to collect, it was just convenient that I was going that way.

Well done Reginald,
did the rescue centre have any idea why it was so weak?

Saw 2 fish in the Dour along Barton Path this morning.
Also a coconut floating down the river. Must have blown off a tree upstream.

I believe the saying is no fool like an old fool. Why are the other neighbours so hostile to this couple, there must be two sides to this story.

Great crested grebe off the new pier. (Not so 'great' in the pic, but I didn't want to get closer and risk being accused of paddling with intent.)

Today's little garden helper!
He had been caught in a humane trap and put outside, I tipped it out and noticed it was just barely responding to touch figured it was cold and shutting down so i stuck it in a glove and put it under my t shirt for half an hour while mowing until I felt it trying to get out of glove.
Let it go in the compost heap.

Lovely pictures I quite like mice, just so long as they stay outside.
Our young cat has been bringing slow worms into the house, the other morning he left the poor thing on the cold kitchen floor by his biscuits and then disappeared, I guess as it was cold so not moving it was no fun.

Second Sunday running a kingfisher on Barton path section of Dour. Last week flashed down river to cover near Charlton Ave. Today between Limes Road and school playground. No pic; too quick.
