Unfortunately the Labour party both nationally and locally is wedded to the concept of being run by the bureaucrats in Brussels despite the damage it does to many of their traditional supporters.
Corbyn has entered a faustian pact purely for his own ambitions despite his long held convictions.
The likelihood is that we will remain in the EU and then be punished for daring to hold a referendum on it.

Fully agree Brian there is nothing sensible coming from either side. Interestingly according to a poll Boris is twice as much trusted on the subject as Dave. I don't trust either of them.

Excellent article by Toby Young here :-

A great shame that Labour supporters are more interested in signing up to remain in a pan-European social experiment than supporting the disenfranchised British working classes which I foolishly thought was their raison d'etre?

A good read but I doubt many traditional Labour supporters outside of the activists that blindly follow the directives from on high will vote to remain. Most feel more comfortable with Farage than Corbyn even though the former is/was an ardent Thatcherite.

What I cannot fathom is who is in charge for both sides, we keep getting explosive rants from individuals and to add to that ITV choosing Farage to debate with Cameron. Very noticeable that Stuart Rose(head of the remain campaign) has been kept hidden away after his opening gambit that we should vote to stay in as it keeps wages down!!

I can't take Boris too seriously, highly entertaining but short on detail, I think that Michael Gove could be the trump card for the leave campaign if he is pushed to the front more.

Last week a report was published showing that EU migrants paid more in taxes than they cost in public services, now we get this.

Just had a leaflet through from the "stronger in" people, banal is not a strong enough word to describe it, seems to be aimed at primary school children.
1) From Martin Lewis - On balance of probability it is more likely We'll have less money in our pockets if we vote to leave.
2) From Richard Branson - Leaving the EU would be very damaging for Great Britain.
3) From Head of midwives - Staying in the EU is better for the NHS, better for women and better for midwives.
4) From Mark Carney - Leaving the EU is the biggest domestic risk to financial stability.
Dare one ask "Why" to any and all of the above?

Things get even more absurd with Gove coming out with "statistics" made up on the hoof, thought better of him.

The chancellor plucking more figures out of the air and even if true many people would welcome a drop in house prices.

As one who was undecided but likely to go with Remain, I've shifted since the load of rubbish [unquantified] & what this will do to the rest of Europe has been peddled.
My instinct is still for UK sovereignty over law , employment legislation & border controls. A strong Nato without an EU Army & free trade arrangements with ALL trading areas & leaving our financial institutions alone.
I'm waiting.
Just to add to the mix, if anyone destabilises the Conservative Leadership my preference, campaigning & vote for a Leader will be Liam Fox.

Agree totally with the second paragraph in Paul's post, but a lot of people are saying that if we have access to the single market after exiting then we would have to accept the continuation of freedom of movement.
