To be fair to the lawyers all they are asking for is proper debate and primary legislation in parliament; frankly an eminently sensible request.

Mr Bibby, why do you find the concept of my espousal of democracy a source of mirth?
You know nothing about me other than what little you infer from my infrequent postings to this forum; as I know little of you other than your postings...

They took their time to show their hand Howard, my post on the
23rd May refers to the referendum being only advisory which the government were obviously fully aware of.

I wonder if the hurried installation of Theresa May as PM, a remain advocate, is part of some devious plan to overturn the result. She could be the shortest serving PM in history if the decision is reversed, triggering an early general election as a showpiece to appease the peasants!
Just a thought!

The inquest continues although I think there was no one reason why people voted leave. There seems to be no hurry from the Government in invoking Article 50 which is making many people very suspicious.

Many Poles think their future will be better in their country of origin with the Government there trying to lure them back.

Lloyds Bank have announced 3000 job losses and 200 branch closures which they blame on Brexit but at the same time announce that profits have doubled.

This makes my blood boil. Lloyds have for many years been making large scale redundancies and closing local branches because of the way the banking industry has changed i.e. we are more likely to use Internet banking these days as opposed to going into a branch for face to face interaction. This all makes perfect sense but it has absolutley nothing to do with Brexit - that's just an excuse.

True but Banks aren't going to stay open just to cash up people's loose change and pay in Cheques for much longer I'm afraid.
I still prefer to go into the bank branch when I need to but I know time is nearly up and i'll just have to embrace the internet banking revolution.

I was offered to trial this some while ago as I regularly use Internet banking. I didn't take it up as I rarely get cheques nowadays!

I use internet banking all the time but still like to visit my local branch if I have a problem or query.

Profits down in the first half of the year due to fears over the referendum, nothing to do with the rise in stamp duty for overseas buyers of course.

Only 12% of our exports go to the EU so it is more a question of what member states want from us.
