Rachel Reeves before GE: “We will crack down on Tory minister’s private jet habit. What is Rishi so afraid of up there in his private jet? Meeting a voter?”

I am not sure what the above post is complaining about, I am not at all surprised the past or present PM uses a private jet. Killjoy Rachel Reeves using one would be an appropriate complaint given her enormous black hole.

Just highlighting the hypocrisy.
Nobody is surprised, just disappointed.

Hypocrisy in high places is a display of power.
It's only a moral failure when the little people do it.

I always recall the local Labour before an election deciding it was going to oppose grammar schools
Led by ex school teacher Alan Davis from Deal at the time .
I did tell them i wouldn't be supporting them as at the time the .....
Labour party organiser had his boy at grammar in Dover
Labour party MP had his girl at grammar in Dover
Labour party chair had his son at grammar in Dover
It was more amusing , at a break in a meeting I was charging to the Labour chairperson and his wife who was treasurer said....
Don't ever disagree with my husband again !!!!
I replied , to save telling you what i really think of you , I won't go back into meeting and will go home , that way you won't be offended lol
I added get used to my challenging your husband as I'm sure it will happen many more times !!

Yes funny how they apposedGrammar schools and Dare I say private education failed to realise if you are fortunateenough to have a child who passes a scholarship as I’n my case I still paid
through KCC Tax for other people’s children to be educated.?
So it is for parents who pay for their children to be educated privately but still pay their rates to KCC
The funniest thing I read this week .The deputy Leader of DDC who is a teacher by the way was not on track as it were with the starting of the Fast Track bus service. Not much home work there.
Never shout unless you are sure of your facts is my motto.Leafy River will still get one bus an hour and half of the time they will be empty after the early rush.
Where are the Labour Councillors for the St Radigunds Ward.I feel sorry for people who reside there as they should have a dedicated service as they did years ago .The 129.
Represented by Labour Councillors.

I doubt anyone would refuse to educate their children in the best school in their area regardless of their political ideologies.

Not to bad in some areas poor in others. The cost from Covid shutdown to the country when taken into account seems to have been forgotten, especially by Labour who agreed to many of the strategies.
Labour now have struggling irate farmers and independent pharmacists to pacify.

Labour will be upsetting pretty much everyone for the first year or so - that's fine, as long as it's restricted to the first year. Get all the pain over and done with early and then start rebuilding.

With the news full of Starmer the Farmer Harmer it's an excellent time to release these figures hoping nobody notices!

I assume Labour do not have many or maybe even any
working farmers playing MP or Lords in Westminster.

I think (hope!) that will depend on an obvious spending of the money saved on something we would prefer, rather than (although personally I don't doubt the need) on plugging alleged black holes. It will have to be coupled with not spending money on laughable projects. Frankly (as an OAP currently wearing 3 layers of clothing), I am as much fed up with minority groups claiming expenditure on them should be a priority as I am with government of whatever hue; perhaps we should, as a nation/society, have a debate on what our priorities are.

It would help if governments and councils of any hue were to spend our tax money on the basic needs rather than unimportant silly ideas. in other words behave more like the majority of households who only spend on luxuries if they can afford them.

They really don't understand do they?
The UK is sending farmers abroad over £516m in foreign aid, whilst the inheritance tax changes are set to raise £520m for the Treasury

1. Labour make election promise to 'cut energy bills by £300 a year'
2. Ofgem announce that its Energy Price Cap will rise in January so the average household will be paying £21 a year more. (Together with the £149 rise in the price cap in October it means that average bills will soon be £170 higher than they were when Labour came to power).
3. Thank goodness all these sacrifices will 'save our (Inter-) National Health Service.
