Does linking us to Deal makes us sound more cosmopolitan?

"Mrs Natalie Elphicke is the Conservative MP for Dover, and has been an MP continuously since 12 December 2019"
Therefore Button is correct.
"Damian Collins is the Conservative MP for Folkestone and Hythe, and has been an MP continuously since 6 May 2010."
Nothing wrong with Mr Collins constituency, so Button is wrong.

Button wrote:Presumably Ms Duffield didn't want to associate with the likes of Mr Collins and Mrs Elphicke who don't know which constituency they represent.
More likely, given that the PLP's provisioning the Conservative regime, she doesn't need to go begging 'Matt' for peanuts.

It's such a shame the main opposition not up to taking her on

Dover MP Natalie Elphicke said: 'I fully support Charlie in his appeal against both his convictions and today's excessive sentence. The court seems to be on a bit of a mission, it entirely ignored the report of a highly experienced probation officer as well as sentencing guidelines. There is no doubt that Charlie behaved badly. However, everyone, Charlie included, has the right to a fair trial, and I don't believe that he has had one.'

Another error of judgement, I guess.

I think it will all depends on the quality of the candidates and how popular Boris and Starmer are at election time

Starmer and Boris both unpopular and unlikely to change
But it's labour that had to win over people
And that's not happening

I still can't get my head around that she is the MP for Dover.
Why does Deal get away with never having any bad press

A quick Google gives the answer!
'Sorry, the website
www.doveranddeallabour.org.uk cannot be found!'
As Keef says above 'It's such a shame the main opposition not up to taking her on'.
The band of brothers are still fighting amongst themselves so much their web-site has disappeared leaving incomer Charlotte, who may or may not be the PPC depending on who you talk to, to carry on fighting the good fight on

From Charlottes home page:
"As a school governor, former teacher and mum, I know that Labour are truly fighting for our schools, hospitals and public services in Deal & Dover."
So she's no longer a mum?
She's knows labour are fighting for our schools, hospitals in Deal and Dover!
Really can she provide any evidence of this?
Has anyone seen a labour cllr in the last 12 mths or since the last election.
As Keith says they have no chance if they are not working in and with the community.

I think Charlotte who has appeared twice on BBC must be the candidate or why isn't just put up as a labour member?
They quote her as the ex parliamentary candidate
Quite strange you invite someone that no longer holds the position ?
Or maybe she has been selected again ?
It appears the dog fight goes on within the major opposition with the resignation on Deal TC of the ex lab chair who was quite an abrupt geezer
She that might help them lol
But on Naterlie it's down to really how long does she want the job lol

If push comes to shove, we could put an advert in the classified columns: 'Wanted: Member of Parliament to represent residents' views'.
