Folkestone and Hythe is one option but to stand in Thanet south might be a better bet depending on when the next General Election is.

I can't see UKIP performing well at all in any election (local, KCC or general). That is a shame for Henry Bolton really as he is an erudite, well-meaning guy, in my opinion. Politically, I have much to disagree with him on. Friends in F&H Labour don't seemed bothered about him particularly.

The favourite he beat has now started up her own party(press conference this Tuesday) muttering darkly about the vote being rigged. So far she has tried it with Labour and UKIP and got nowhere, it will be interesting to see the sort of people her new party attracts.

UKIP polling percentages in yesterday's elections show that their new leader has done nothing to revive their waning/waned star.
Meopham: UKIP: 5.2% (-16.7); Basford: UKIP: 5.8% (-11.0); Bulwell Forest: UKIP: 5.3% (-14.7); Bestwood: UKIP: 14.2% (-7.7); Seaton: UKIP: 9.9% (-13.8); Astley Mosley: UKIP: 11.0% (-13.2).

A man walks into a library and asks for a book about UKIP.
The librarian responds: 'Get the f**k out!'
The man replies: 'That's the one!'

Think farrage did a good job in getting people to sit up and helped to force the Govt into a corner but there time is clearly up now, Cllr Glazier I'm hearing after the heavy by election defeat in tower hamlets already preparing to lose his seat on district as he realises UKIP has lost it's following

As I said above I think Farrage did a great job on shaking up politics
But times have moved on, and people are seeing UKIP has achieved that aim, but since lost it's way and support has all but gone andno more than a protest party now

Given the right circumstances Keith, so called “protest” parties can still affect the outcome of an election and seeing the calibre of the so called existing “established” parties and the expected fudge on Brexit, UKIP can still play a part in determining a future government, even if it doesn’t actually win any seats itself!

will be lots of angry Tory voters come 2022.after the EU sell out.
the top brass in UKIP will probably stand down to help prevent communist Jeremy from entering number 10.

I disagree Keith, by spoiling your ballot paper that just gives the two main parties the green light to take us all for granted and carry on regardless. It does them good to know that, at least in a marginal seat, UKIP should not be underestimated and could affect their individual victory parade!

Not really Keef, Labour MPs "oop norf" that thought they had jobs for life until 2010, since then disaffected previously Labour voters have opted for UKIP that could easily leave the door open for Tories to win seats.

Howard
I'm sure they could well take enough votes off tories in the same manner and let labour in
but spoiling ballot papers shows you support none of the above
