The first round of consultation on a proposed new Leisure Centre to be built in Whitfield starts today and will run for three weeks. A series of consultation events at Dover Leisure Centre and Whitfield Village Hall will culminate with the plans being on show at the Dover Community Regatta on 23 July.

Dover District Council is working with partners to offer local independent businesses in East Kent the chance to take part in a free business mentoring programme. The scheme is being run by ibd Business Advice Group, and Dover District independent retailers are invited to attend workshops at Dover Gateway on Castle Street in Dover on 1 and 8 August.
