A 22-year-old Dover man has been jailed for more than four years for a robbery. Stuart Turnbull denied committing a robbery in Ash on 1 February 2016.

DDC and Kent Police operation to crack down on fly-tipping

Dover District Council and Kent Police worked together in a joint operation on Wednesday to help crack down on fly-tipping in the area. Officers focussed on stopping and searching commercial vehicles in rural areas around the district, checking waste carriers were keeping to the law, and raising awareness of these key issues.

Dover Harbour Board announces new Chairman

The Secretary of State for Transport has appointed Richard Everitt CBE as the new Chairman of Dover Harbour Board. Mr Everitt will take up the role from 1 July 2016. He replaces George Jenkins OBE who stands down after taking the helm in 2013.
