Having had 5.64 inches of rain so far this month it was quite a pleasant change today to be able to go
for an extended early morning walk with the dog without getting soaked!
A bit murky but despite this these Cyclamen provided a little colour in the boggy ground!
The ponies were having their breakfast:
And the road was much drier than of late:
All this got me in the mood for tidying up the garden and giving the lawns another cut (hopefully the
last before Winter)!

I love seeing the pictures of your lovely garden.
I now struggle to look after my tiny patio area at the front of the house, luckily the back garden is my daughter's to care for.

No need to struggle anymore Jan as this company could have the answer. Either use it to dig the garden or to create a wide and deep trench to enable you to access the garden at chest level

It’s been a scorcher this summer and the garden is looking a bit weary but there is still a little colour out there to enjoy:

Summer has well and truly ended and just for those that may be interested these are the rainfall stats for October (on the right) and the year to date ( on the left) recorded in our garden.
The temperatures outside was 10.7 degrees C just now, so there is probably more rain on the way.
By the way these are recorded in
inches so no chance of a hosepipe ban next year........I hope!
