On the other forums people have been looking up the accounts ,definitely running at a loss.Ken has not answered any questions.I cannot understand why the Chairman has resigned.A nice chap over thirty years service.

Would you kindly enlighten us as to which forums so that we can then read the comments and form an opinion?

Seems nothing has changed from when I left the shop, one faction fighting against the other to the detriment of the whole.

I'm not really up to speed on the workings of charities but as Age UK is a national one I would have thought that head office could step in and adjudicate in cases like this where there are clear differences between management and the trustees.

There's something in what you say Howard
Of course a Shirley is a businessman and I understand a fairly successful one so I would be surprised if he involved himself
But we have only one side at the mo

You can only post on there if you are a member, your name will show in blue. DFDD is the abbreviation for Dover For Disgruntled Dovorians in case I confused you.

I find those closed Facebook pages a bit weird as only members can read what is there. I prefer the format here where the world and his dog can read anything posted here from the year dot.

The groups I object to are those that become 'Secret' to the public, surely they are open to abuse in all its ways. I am happy with any group that provides information and only resorts to censorship when absolutely necessary, like here. Recently one of my comments on another group was removed simply for reminding fellow members that an admin might know some answers to some of the queries that had been raised by fellow members.
Back to topic I can only hope this Riverside problem is resolved as soon as possible for the oldies who use their much needed facilities.
