I am currently working in Vilnius hence my lack of postings. I welcome the statement from the Trustees, they having told the staff there would be a charge of £40, hopefully that has been thrown into the long grass.
I believe my post on Dover for the Disgruntled has been deleted. It would seem one of the administrators is the wife of a Centre Trustee ( Howard could you check?)
As for litigation, I have made no claims I can't substantiate.
I have been e-mailed a photograph dated today that totally exhonorates my wife and the other member of staff suspended with her.
I would suggest it is now in everyone's interest to return The Riverside to the status quo and everyone get together and make a success of it. I for my part will cease the fight and consign
any remaining evidence I would use to Room 101.

Strange turnaround.
Still hopefully the main gainers will be the centre itself

I sussed all that out from the beginning Ken, "Facts not Gossip" has threatened to sue me more times than I can be bothered to remember but has no idea of the laws on libel/slander in this country.
Some years back I took a group photo of people outside our seafront hotel after a Nigel Farage public meeting and he called it unauthorised as he was in it!!

Jan. Why is there a need to post the list of admins here? I don't see the benefit of it tbh

Because Ken did not seem to know who they were even though they are visible to all members, so they are not exactly secret.

Doubt this matter would have surfaced until it was too late if Ken had not raised the matter. Thanks Ken.

Keith, getting Karen reinstated is not the issue, keeping The Riverside available to all was the issue.
Karen has the full support of her Union and others, so whatever the outcome for her she will not be the loser.

A member of staff asked the supervisor why can't the Centre reopen Saturdays and was told that they would need to ask THE CEO of Medway. Karen is still the Chief Officer of the Centre, but it does explain why they need rid of her.

I'm confused ken, why would the CEO of Medway be involved as I thought they were all run independently but answerable to Age UK HQ? Furthermore I thought Riverside was still open on Saturdays.

I can't see anything about a membership scheme but they do have a daily charge, they don't say how much. It includes lunch and all refreshments which would drive away anyone that didn't want a full meal.
