Thanks Howard - the ultimate insult !!
I didn't think I needed to tell them what party I was a Councillor for, as this is not a party problem, but a community one.
Did you get my email this morning ? I sent one to Terry as well.
Hope we get a resolution - for the people's sake.

i did get that roger, very detailed.
i was in clarendon place earlier delivering reg's leaflets, i will post some pictures later that will illustrate the problems.
i was quite taken aback by the bags blocking the pavements.

Some hopes Brian.
It's people I care about, not so much the politics, but they do come into their own now and again.

three examples of the side of the road where they cannot have bins.
the next scheduled collection day is friday week, should they fit the colour criteria.

now the other side of the road, not a pretty site but i have to say that although the frontages are very small there is enough space in many cases for them to be placed away from the windows.
of course we have the additional problem of a minority that insist on blocking the pavement with them.

Howard on your travels try going to Tower Hill,up the steps from the Priory turn left walk to the end of the road(Priory Hill) right again at the Abbots next road on your left.I saw these bins being delieved today. They have no frontage and although they do have a rear garden they are not accesible from the front so I am sure there are dozens of wheelie bins on the pavements. While you are there go down the hill into North Road and see the smallest house in Dover on the Corner.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

There are too many properties that should not have them, but do and just try to get on with them.
Their lives are seriously blighted by these wheelie bins, but feel there's nothing they can do.
As Howard's photos have shown, the Clarendons are in a much worse state now than before the bins.
Folkestone Road, which has a lot of traffic from visitors and residents, is just awful (I hate to wonder what the visitors to Dover think), but hopefully after the photos I sent in to DDC, something will/must, be done.
The whole area has been brought down and is worse than before.

Some bins are obviously wrong for some areas even mine in a few cases where there are too many for the size of front gardens.
Some people are being awkward regarding the bins just because they do not want them these are the people to win over.

Your'll never, in a month of Sundays, win me over. I'm far too sensible.

Won't win me over either. I don't think you get the full effect from photos, you need to actually go and see for yourself how awful they really are. It's a shame the people responsible can't get out of their offices and go and see what they've done, and speak to the residents.

Spot on Colin, one visit to everyone who has a complaint should not be beyond DDC, they have a problem and should resolve it.

I just wonder why the rubbish day is highlighted in green, surely recycling day should be green?
Just a thought.
