Noticed earlier that Big Dave's former shop has now been let to a company called "Cex" specialising in electronics, mobile phones etc.

Another empty shop coming back into use, will save a journey up to B & Q next time we want a bag of nails.

Must be a lot of hair in Dover.
Currently in Cherrytree, not sure if they're moving or expanding.

Wasn't Maxwell's Amusements part of the Lukey empire?

Not aware of that Terry, what i can say is that i encountered two of the Lukey clan some years back and can say categorically that i have never encountered more obnoxious bell ends in my life before.

There will be so many soon no living will be made so they close what is the point .
I would never put money into this kind, pubs are doing bad now this will not help all ok for the first week or two when some of the public try them out then bang that is it also we are going into the winter so less will be coming out.

There is scaffolding around the roof of the YMCA shop now..
Cex have opened their doors in Priory Street, all sorts of electronic stuff being bought and sold, the window display was mainly I-phones, consoles and game stations, inside racks of DVD's and Blu-rays.

I noticed on Tuesday when I was in the town that the Charity Shop "P.D.S.A has closed it's door for the last time. I must admit I never see that many people in the shop.
