i spoke to the manager of rooks this morning , has been told by his MD that the shop is not closing

Apparently the main Post Office is moving to Biggin Street from Pencester, it is on DDC FB page

Its rumoured that both M&S & Next negotiated significant rent free periods to take up space in St James so this is a chance for the little man to get something similar...

The bailiffs arrived at the Weights Room in the High Street yesterday and took back the premises on behalf of the owner Sainsbury's. An eviction notice has been posted on the door together with a list of seized gym equipment. The boxing ring moved last week into an empty Charlton Centre unit.
